Claude produces prose that sounds like a thoughtful human wrote it. ChatGPT tends toward the "corporate AI voice" — overuse of phrases like "certainly," "absolutely," and unnecessarily structured responses. For client-facing writing, Claude's output needs less editing.
With a 200K context window, Claude can ingest an entire contract, annual report, or research document and reason about it coherently. This matters when you need to extract specific information from large documents or compare multiple lengthy files side-by-side.
Give Claude a complex prompt with multiple constraints — "write this in a direct tone, avoid jargon, format it as three sections, make the first paragraph a hook" — and it follows all of them. ChatGPT tends to drift on complex multi-constraint instructions, especially in longer conversations.
DALL-E 3 is built directly into ChatGPT Plus. If you need to generate images for social media, presentations, or content — ChatGPT handles this in the same conversation as your text work. Claude has no image generation capability.
